Contact UsPartial Dentures
If you’re missing some but not all of your teeth, we can create custom partial dentures to replace them. They consist of replacement teeth that are attached to a gum-colored base. The base has metal attachments so the denture can attach to your existing teeth for additional support.
Full Dentures
Missing a full arch of teeth can lead to severe jawbone loss, cause your cheeks and lips to sink in, and make it more difficult to eat and speak. Our team designs natural-looking full dentures to replace all of your teeth. Similar to partial, we mold replacement teeth onto a base that looks similar to your natural gums. They can be held in place with a strong denture adhesive or dental implants.
Implant-Supported Dentures
If you’re looking for a more reliable way to keep your full or partial dentures from sliding or moving around, dental implants may be a great option for you. If you’re a good candidate, we can surgically place dental implants (small titanium posts) directly into your jawbone. Dental implants act as replacement tooth roots and fuse with your jawbone. We can add abutments to allow them to securely snap onto your implants.
Learn MoreAre Dentures Comfortable?
When you think of dentures, you may picture an elderly man or woman struggling to keep them in place. However, that’s not the case anymore! Thanks to advancements in dentistry, they are more comfortable and easy to maintain than ever before. Our skilled team will take precise impressions of your teeth, check the fit of your personalized dentures once our off-site lab creates them, and make adjustments to the fit as time goes on (if needed). Our goal is to make your denture experience as stress-free as possible!
Schedule a ConsultationAre dentures painful?
You can expect some pain, soreness, or general discomfort for at least a week or two after you receive your new traditional dentures. During this adjustment period, there are a few things you can do to alleviate some of the discomfort besides taking over-the-counter pain medication (which can also be helpful). When you remove them, try using a warm saltwater rinse to reduce soreness and inflammation. There are also topical gels that you can purchase to apply to the tender areas, which work especially well when combined with gently massaging the gums. If you are still experiencing pain or discomfort after one month, let our team know so we can assess the situation and ensure your they fit properly.
Do dentures stain?
Natural-looking dentures can become stained over time, just like natural teeth. This is why it is important to take care of both natural teeth and dentures by cleaning them frequently and properly. However, should you notice some unsightly stains, there are many home remedies you can use to whiten them. Most of these options involve creating your own solutions that contain ingredients like hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, vinegar, or denture bleach to lift stains and make them appear whiter.
Are dentures expensive?
They are seen as more of an investment than other restorative dental options, but they are considered a worthy investment by many patients who need many or all of their teeth replaced. At Springs Village Dentistry, we do everything we can to make our natural-looking dentures as affordable for as many different budgets as possible. Many insurance plans cover at least part of the cost, and our practice also accepts payment plans through CareCredit® and LendingClub that can help you split up the cost into more feasible monthly payments.
